With Grail Institute and Grail Publishing, we are seeking to respond to the most profound need of our times, the need for a deeper and more meaningful spiritual existence in the Christian world, one that is rooted in the profound revelations, mysteries and practices of ancient Christianity. In our times the deeper reality of Western spirituality has been tragically obscured and in many cases all but lost. We no longer know our own true spiritual history.
Grail Institute would like to serve as a force for revealing, opening up and bringing forth some of the most profound treasures and riches of the Christian esoteric tradition. We will do this through research, study, publishing, and teaching. The primary focus will be Christ's manifested light throughout history in Eastern and Western Christianity, including Celtic Christianity, Grail Christianity and the alchemical-esoteric tradition as well as the liturgical-sacramental history in Christianity. Essentially, the idea of the holy will be the guide and the work of the Institute.
Among our activities have been public workshops and seminars on Christian esoteric and contemplative traditions in such venues as the New York Open Center, the Minneapolis-based Mythos Institute, and the Marywood Dominican Retreat Center in Michigan. Robert Faas, author of The Divine Couple, is a practicing clinical psychologist, and Arthur Versluis is a university professor. Together and separately they have given numerous public talks and workshops. If you would like one or both of them to speak in your area, you may contact them at the address below.
In order that this truly significant undertaking bear its fruit, we are asking for your support through prayer, active participation and financial sponsorship. If you are interested in helping in any of the above ways or want more information regarding Grail Institute, please contact Robert Faas, Institute Director, at:
